Familien Dubourcq
Familien Dubourcq har forpliktet seg til å jobbe gratis i minimum tre år om bord «Global Mercy» – verdens største sivile sykehusskip. Alle som arbeider om bord gjør dette uten lønn fra Mercy Ships. Vil du være med å støtte familien med et engangsbeløp eller et fast beløp hver måned?
Michelle (10), Nicoline (8) og Louise (5) går på skole på det nye skipet. Mamma Mapendo er bioingeniør og pappa Thomas jobber som kommunikasjonssjef om bord. Familien er norsk-kongolesisk-nederlandsk og er vanligvis bosatt i Sandvika utenfor Oslo.
Thomas har bakgrunn som tv-produsent og produserte for 10 år siden NRK Super serien Fride på skipet som fortsatt går på tv i fire land. Produksjonen gjorde at han kjenner Africa Mercy godt og har bodd ombord i Liberia og Benin under opptak.

The Dubourcq family has committed to work voluntarily for a minimum of three years aboard the «Global Mercy,» the world’s largest civilian hospital ship.
Everyone working on board does so without compensation from Mercy Ships. Would you like to join in supporting the family with a one-time contribution or a fixed amount every month?
Michelle (10), Nicoline (8), and Louise (5) are attending school on the new ship. Mom Mapendo is a biomedical engineer, and Dad Thomas works as the communications chief on board. The family has a Norwegian-Congolese-Dutch background and is usually based in Sandvika, outside Oslo.
Thomas has a background as a TV producer and, 10 years ago, he produced the NRK Super series «Fride» on the ship, which is still airing on TV in four countries. This production experience has given him a strong familiarity with the Africa Mercy, and he has lived aboard in Liberia and Benin during filming.
